The PAX Four uses a hybrid heater, meaning one heater warms the flower two ways: through contact with the oven walls (conduction) and with hot air drawn through the oven (convection). PAX states it delivers dense clouds and 50% more vapor production than other PAX devices.

Use and maintenance
PAX specifies a loose pack for the PAX Four: fill the oven with ground flower without pressing it down, close the lid and select a heat mode. The airpath is closed, so PAX cleans it with a wire brush, and the oven needs no disassembly. PAX advises letting the oven and screen cool for 10 minutes after use before cleaning.
